The main purpose of a swimming pool cover is to reduce the evaporation of water, both in indoor and outdoor pools, this in turn results in less water consumption and reduced consumption of chemicals.

The cover significantly reduces, due to good insulating properties of the slats, the cooling of the water. Less heat is lost, heating costs are reduced and the bathing season is extended. Moreover, by using solar profiles, the pool water can be heated by a few degrees.

The pool cover also reduces the pollution of the pool, which leads to reduced manual cleaning and reduces the use of chemicals.

The pool cover provides increased protection for children and pets due to the high buoyancy of the hollow chamber profiles. The pool cover has a load-bearing capacity of up to 50 kg/m² with a contiguous area of at least 10 m², and can therefore prevent deep sinking in the event of accidental stepping on it or children or pets falling on it. It is possible to leave the cover. The cover is safer only when a handrail or support edge, already found on many prefabricated pools, is installed and the slats on the front of the cover are attached to the pool.

Please note that the cover is primarily for thermal insulation, protection against pollution, reduction of water evaporation and algae formation, and less that of a safety cover. The cover is in no way a substitute for parental supervision and does not represent guaranteed safety. Children must be supervised in the vicinity of pools as a matter of principle. Appropriate measures must be taken to increase accident protection. The operator / owner of the facility is in full responsibility and liability.

Due to the high buoyancy of the hollow chamber profiles, deep sinking of a person who accidentally gets on the cover is prevented. Depending on the size of the pool, you can also stand in the middle. However, when stepping on the edge, the cover can tip sideways if there is no handrail or support edge on the pool edge.

The purpose of the cover is to save energy, reduce water evaporation and keep the pool clean. It is not intended to be walked on.

WaterBeck produces its custom automated pool covers exclusively from high-quality materials in Germany with the claim of highest quality and durability of our products.

All slats are made of premium plastics such as PC, PCTR and PVC. For pools with special fixtures or dimensions, the covers are individually planned with the help of computer-aided simulations and then cut by hand to millimeter accuracy. Winding shafts and built-in parts are also manufactured in-house by WaterBeck. All swimming pool covers are therefore “Made in Germany” and are characterized by a long service life.

Yes, swimming ponds can also be covered with our covers. However, the special filter areas must be kept clear. You can obtain information on this from your specialist swimming pool dealer or filter manufacturer.

Due to the smooth surface, our PC profiles, e.g. in the color green, are particularly suitable as they are easy to clean.

Yes, different variants are possible:

An above-floor system, e.g. with bench panelling, can be retrofitted at any time without any problems. Underfloor can also be retrofitted. Due to the use of high-quality tubular motors, which are directly integrated into the winding shaft, the underfloor system can be retrofitted by means of side plates for suspension. Further installation variants are possible at a later date.

Yes, in principle, an overflow channel is not a problem for a pool cover. Special lateral guides and stop devices ensure that the slats are kept on track during opening and closing.

Attention: The area between the gutter and the pool is generally not covered! We therefore recommend lowering the water level by night lowering.

Since every pool is individual and therefore also its pool cover, our systems are installed by specialized dealers. When deciding on the right variant, the dealer helps with his expertise and coordinates closely with us.

When choosing the profiles, there is first the question of function. In the outdoor area we recommend the more durable variant PC. In the interior, PVC slats are also useful. With regard to shape, size and material, you are welcome to inform yourself under profiles.

Concerning the winding devices there is the distinction between above ground (outside the pool) or below ground (inside the pool). All our winding shafts and frame constructions are made of waterproof V4A stainless steel. For the claddings you can choose between wood, stainless steel and plastic.

Solar profiles are the individual slats that as a whole form the solar cover. They are recognizable by their transparent top, which allows sunlight to pass through, and a black bottom, which absorbs solar energy to the surface water. You can read more about the solar effect under Profiles.

Each pool cover is as individual as the pool and its owners. Therefore, a price statement is so impossible. Both the size and shape of the pool and the cover of the roll-up are important price indicators. Together with your swimming pool dealer we will find the right alternative for your pool.

Profiles made of PC (polycarbonate) are much more resistant and therefore more durable compared to PVC (polyvinyl chloride). The material is more impact resistant, so we can offer it in high hail classes. The slats made of PC are more resistant to high temperatures (almost double that of profiles made of PVC). For more information see the comparison table under profiles.

PCTR is a polycarbonate lamella, which is provided with a UV-protective layer in a TRI-extrusion process. This manufacturing process makes PCTR profiles particularly robust and resistant. Their extra-smooth surface finish reduces dirt deposits. Even after years, this lamella still looks like new with proper care.

The profiles can be cleaned with the aid of a high-pressure cleaner (max. 40°C) and/or plastic cleaning agent. The application instructions on the respective containers must be followed. After completion of the cleaning process, the pool cover must be rinsed generously with water. Any residue of cleaning agent left on the swimming pool cover must be avoided under all circumstances. When using cleaning tools, make sure that they do not leave any scratch marks on the swimming pool cover during the cleaning process.

Basically yes! However, some points must be observed during winter operation. Cold temperatures can affect the mechanical/physical properties of the profiles.

The pool cover can be left on the water if it has a temperature of at least 5°C. The cover must not be moved during frost, as frost can damage the mechanical parts. Leaves should be removed from the cover, as discoloration may occur on the cover due to the tannic acids of the leaves.

Underground: The pool cover can also be left rolled up in the shaft so that it is protected from sunlight.

Above ground: The system, if protected from sunlight and insulated, can last through the winter when rolled up.

Basically yes, but the brine content must be marked in inquiries and orders. Due to the brine content, the stainless steel parts are specially treated. This results in surcharges and extended delivery times.

The brine content can be a maximum of 3.0%.

We supply the end caps in the corresponding qualities of the slats. For PVC profiles the end caps are made of PVC, for PC profiles they are made of PC.
